The deep navy is actually deep teal with a dash of navy. Lovely fabric and construction, very thick and warm, but there are horribly scratchy zippers on the pockets which are not a pleasant sensation on the hands and fingers when sliding them through. I plan to have them taken out for more flexibility and comfort.

The cap fit perfectly and as usual the quality is impecable.

Alan Paine is a perfect one shop destination for wardrobe staples. All knitwear is fairly priced, and has high quality standards for that price. From merino to geelong, lambswool and cashmere; I couldn’t recommend a better place to get the foundations of your wardrobe started in feasible conditions. This sweater especially, is wonderful material and fits great. I’d say go up a size if you’re built like American, like me! Wear your normal size if you’re slim and want a tailored fit
